Hi Kriru,
There are actually two separate issues here. Firstly, the backslash \ character is used as a delimiter, so if you want to actually put a backslash character you need to put a double backslash \\
If you want a double backslash, you probably need four backslashes \\\\

With regards to the numbers being cut off, it's due to the fact that the options are passed through the JText function, which I've now found out has been recently changed to "improve security". Apparently the JText function now helps to sanitize the text to prevent SQL injections etc, and it will not let a string end in a comma followed by numbers. So your value of $33,501 gets sanitized and becomes $33. One work around is to add one or more alphabetic characters at the end of the string, for example $33,501 per annum
Another option is to remove the comma, and just put $33501
A third option would be to edit the view and remove the JText from the radio options. Assuming you want this third option and you are using the default multipage view, you'd need to edit /components/com_bfquiz_plus/views/bfquizplus/tmpl/default.php
Around line 945 and 950, change the value of the input field from:
value="<?php echo JText::_($row->$tempvalue); ?>"
change to
value="<?php echo $row->$tempvalue; ?>"

I hope this helps.

Hi Kriru,
Sounds like you will need to also modify the showIncorrect function in /components/com_bfquiz_plus/controller.php

I'd start by looking at line 1167 and seeing what value is being compared
//was answer correct? if(trim(strtoupper($answer))==trim(strtoupper($correctanswer)) | $row->suppressQuestion == 1 | $row->question_type == 10){

Hi Kriru,
While I'm happy to point you in the right direction, including double backslash in an option was not really how the software was designed to work, and what you are trying to achieve does require some modifications to the code.

Unfortunately I don't currently have the resources to offer a custom development service, but there are many freelancing websites that you may be able to utilise if you need to make any other customisations and do not have PHP skills yourself.

Please get in touch if you want to contribute back any improvements to the software.

Ideally the plugin should support this. I do not see why I am required to shell out for custom development for this. I am on shoe string budget & can not afford this.

But I am in no rush, you can do this in future at your leisure. Just want a tentaive timeframe

Also this works in your component for Joomla 1.5 http://www.guru99.com/sql-quiz.html

Hi Kriru,
Outsourcing can be a good option for those without any coding skills that need a quick solution. If you can wait, there is a good chance I will fix this in a future version.
