Joomla! version: (3.2.0)

Hi guys, I'm getting a multitude of stdClass errors throughout BFQuiz stuff.

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$suppressQuestion in C:\xampp\htdocs\ishield\components\com_bfquiz_plus\views\onepage\tmpl\default.php on line 418

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$field_type in C:\xampp\htdocs\ishield\administrator\components\com_bfquiz_plus\controller.php on line 1640

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$field_type in C:\xampp\htdocs\ishield\administrator\components\com_bfquiz_plus\views\questions\tmpl\default.php on line 276

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$validation_type in C:\xampp\htdocs\ishield\administrator\components\com_bfquiz_plus\views\questions\tmpl\default.php on line 279

Have imported data from Joomla 1.5 site. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Craig

Hi Craig,
These appear to be PHP notices, which indicates that your error reporting setting in your global config is probably set too high. On a dev site you would expect to set error reporting to maximum, but in production normally a lower setting is used to prevent path discloser and other security issues. Normally the software will still function unless there is a php error, and generally notices while annoying can be ignored.

What version of BF Quiz Plus are you using? I would recommend using v1.2.7 or greater for Joomla 3.2.0

If you still get these notices on v1.2.7, please let me know and I'll look into it.

Hi Tim,

It is version 1.2.7. I am in development, not a huge problem if it goes away at launch but it's affecting some functionality on the quiz side.

Thanks

Hi Craig,
I've had a closer look at this, and I suspect it is due to you migrating from BF Quiz, and your question table jos_bfquiz_plus is missing some new fields. You should be able to run the following SQL command in phpMyAdmin to fix:

ALTER TABLE jos_bfquiz_plus
ADD `suppressQuestion` tinyint(1),
ADD `field_type` varchar(50) NOT NULL,
ADD `validation_type` varchar(50) NOT NULL,
ADD `scorecatid` int(11) NOT NULL default '0',
ADD `alias` varchar(255) CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_bin NOT NULL DEFAULT '';

Obviously change jos_ to your actual table prefix.

Let me know if you still have a problem.

Hi Tim,

That's sorted it. I had added the scorecatid, but not the other fields.

Thanks
Craig
