Joomla! version: (no idea)

Hi Tim, Thanks very much for last time

I am having following problem. If one of my auction has the opening bid = increment, one gets the answer bid not accepted because it is lower than highest bid even though there has not been a bid yet. How can I solve this problem ?
Please explain
Have a very nice day, and thank you in advance

Hi Divi,
I've just tried to reproduce your issue on my test site using the current version v1.8.1
1. I set my bid increment in the component options and menu item to $1.
2. I then created a new auction item.
3. I logged into the front end of my site, and bid $1 on the item.
I only see the "Bid confirmed" message.

Can you describe steps to reproduce the issue.

Also, please confirm the version of the software you are using, as I know it was an issue in some versions prior to v1.7.1. I can see this note in the changelog:
What's new in BF Auction Plus v1.7.1

# Fixed issue when first bidder was seeing bid not accepted lower message

Hi Tim,
I have just logged in my backend on the menu item menutype Grid and checked; I use v1.8.1.
I checked that the bid increment in the component is set to 5Kr. then I reproduced an issue with the opening bid at 5Kr. then logged in as an offline user in my front end and tried to bid on the Item, so I get the answer that My bid was not accepted because it is lower than the current bid. The answer comes if i produce an issue on the front end

Hi Divi,
Thanks for the additional information. After further testing, it seems the issue is to do with the opening bid. I've tracked down the problem to line 246 of /components/com_bfauction_plus/controller.php

The last part of that line should be changed to >= instead of >

//end of line 246
$bid>(float)$bidIncrement) )

//change to
$bid>=(float)$bidIncrement) )

Can you try this fix on your site and see if that solves your issue.

regards

Hi Tim,
Thanks for your answer, but the remedy did not help this time :-) I guess your answer has to do with BF Auction Plus v1.7.1 version, and I am using v1.8.1.
Here I have: "components/com_bfauction_plus/controllers", and there is no line " 246 of /components/com_bfauction_plus/controller.php " Please check v1.8.1.

2- I am having a problem with the seller notification mail that I added to the email-template: Congratulation {sellername} you have sold item {itemid} title {itemtitle} enddate {enddate} to {username}. The same email is sent to the seller in both situations when one of his item is sold, and every time an item is not sold. What could be the reason for that I guess I must have made a mistake in the configuration of the e-mail ?

See you soon

Hi Divi,
I've included the fix in v1.8.2, just install over the top of previous versions.

Further to my above message, v1.8.2 will only address the opening bid issue.

Regarding seller email, this is triggered at the end of the auction and notifies the person selling the item. Sounds like I may need to add two types of seller emails, one for the scenario in which the item is sold, and one for the scenario where the auction ends and the item is not sold.
