Hi,

When we set the first bid a $0 with an increment at $40 for example. The first bid is not automatically calculated like it is for all the other bids.

This results in an error for the user who thinks he had bid but in fact there is no error message and he comes back to the previous page where he can see the clock ticking and the current bid.

To solve the problem, we have to create a first bid manually and then everything looks good.

Is there a way to solve this issue?

Best.

This is due to /components/com_bfauction_plus/assets/ajax.php

//line 199-204
				if(highBidder == "0******0"){
					/* no bidder yet so use opening bid */
					nextBid = parseFloat(currentBid);
				}else{
					nextBid = parseFloat(currentBid) + <?php echo (float)$bidIncrement; ?>;
				}

As you can see, the opening bid does not have the bid increment applied. As soon as someone bids on the item, the highBidder is set so from then on the bid increment is added.

You've got two options to achieve what you are after, the easy one that involved no code changes is to use the "Current Bid/Opening Bid" field in your auction item, and set this the same as your bid increment, in your example 40.

The other option is to modify the code mentioned above, and make it always apply a bidIncrement (essentially get rid of the if else statement and keep the next bid line that adds the increment). Just be aware that you wont be able to set a starting price that is different from the minimum bid increment, and you may need to reapply these changes whenever you upgrade the software version.
