Hello,
I have just installed BF Auction Pro v1.4.2.0 into Joomla 1.5.26. I would like to unmask the usernames in the Bid History List as well high bidder on the item listing.

Thanks,
Brad

Hi Brad,
To show the usernames you'd need to edit a couple of files.

/components/com_bfauction_pro/views/bfauction_pro/tmpl/default.php
around line 182, you will see
			<td align="center">
				<?php
				if($row->highBidder <> '0'){
					if($row->highBidder == $user->username){
						echo $row->highBidder;
					}else{
						echo substr($row->highBidder, 0, 1);
						echo "******";
						echo substr($row->highBidder, -1);
					}
				}
				?>
			</td>

There is also something similar in /components/com_bfauction_pro/views/bidhistory/tmpl/default.php around line 75.

Then you'd need to edit /components/com_bfauction_pro/controllers/bid.php, around line 86
$highBidder = substr($highBidder, 0, 1).'******'.substr($highBidder, -1);

Thanks for the help. Closing the case.

Modified code to:
<?php
if($row->highBidder <> '0'){
if($row->highBidder == $user->username){
echo $row->highBidder;
}else{
echo $row->highBidder;
/* echo "******";
echo substr($row->highBidder, -1);*/
}
}
?>
